About Me

My name is Lauren Kaufman, owner of Wildflower Consulting LLC. My friends call me Chef LK because I’ve always had a passion for creating and sharing delicious treats.

My product development experience stems from my 10 years as a pastry chef, a delicate craft that requires precision in measurements and flavor balancing. During that time, I created countless menus and managed a wholesale account for a local bakery. I then went on to manage production for a cannabis bakery, which gave me the tools and knowledge to perfect the process of creating products containing cannabis that met the dosing requirements for Colorado.

In my years of manufacturing experience, I have gained a full understanding of cGMPs, HACCP/FSMA, and operating from a production side under FDA regulations. Having this knowledge, I can create a product from inception all the way to mass commercialization. I also work on product labeling compliant with FDA regulations, so the product will be formulated with these guidelines at the top of mind.

In my former role as a food science consultant, I was able to hone my project management skills and expand my knowledge of biomimicry and sustainability. While there, I was part of launching some incredible products, including but not limited to, a variety of beverages, bars, dips, spreads, hard candies, and throat sprays.

I strive to support companies in their product development needs and I am eager to see the possibilities brought forth in the cannabis industry.
